Woven in Bengal using the Jamdani technique.
The traditional art of Jamdani weaving, a technique from Bengal dating back more than 2,000 years. It has been declared a World Cultural Heritage by UNESCO. On manual looms, weavers use a needle to insert a floral or geometric pattern into the weft, point by point. This art requires a great deal of time and concentration from the artisans. The qualities used by Sentô to make its Jamdani are wool or hand-spun khadi cotton.
